What We Do
In our wholistic approach to child sponsorship we work with local partners to provide food, shelter, clothing, and tuition for school fees. As part of this program students receive mentoring and life skills training. Our goal is give the children we support the tools to thrive as adults who are giving back to their communities.
Since the beginning, True Impact has raised funds and partnered with local pastors and community leaders to build school classrooms, dormitories, kitchens, orphan homes, playgrounds, and water projects.
Statistics tell us that 52% of boys and 54% of girls complete the primary schooling process in Uganda, with 28% of boys and 25% of girls finishing lower secondary. A large reason for these numbers is the inability to pay school fees. By providing students with tuition we're able help bridge a gap in breaking the poverty cycle. For students that show the desire and ability to move to vocational training or some form of higher education we have a fund to help pay for those expenses.
We believe healthy children tend to make better students. We provide medical assistance where needed through our local partners for children in our program and their caretakers. We have a medical fund that makes this possible.
