We praise our Lord, who has given us a future and a Hope. We pray for the future of the children in Uganda. We ask the Lord to fill their hearts with Hope.
For I know the plans I have for you, declares the Lord, plans for welfare and not for evil,
to give you a future and a hope. - Jeremiah 29
We pray for those who have shed tears and have seen death. Lord, give them Hope for the day when they will see no more death and shed no more tears.
He will wipe away every tear from their eyes, and death shall be no more, neither shall there be mourning, nor crying, nor pain anymore, for the former things have passed away. - Revelation 21:4
Lord, strengthen the children and the leaders. Let them run. Let them soar.
But those who hope in the LORD will renew their strength. They will soar on wings like eagles; they will run and not grow weary, they will walk and not be faint. - Isaiah 40:31
Right now in Uganda, the children in grade school and high school are finishing up the first term of the year. They will go on break from the end of April until about the third week of May. Pray for the end of this term, for their time on break, for them to have a positive impact on those around them and for them to return to school safely. The vocational students vary on when they are in classes, on break or on a special tour. Pray for them for God to be present in their lives, giving them Hope.
but in your hearts honor Christ the Lord as holy, always being prepared to make a defense to anyone who asks you for a reason for the hope that is in you; yet do it with gentleness and respect - 1 Peter 3:15
